He began his career in 2008 in the Autonomous Organization of Education “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools”. In different years, he passed the steps from manager to deputy director of the department of methodological support of the educational process.

From 2011 to 2016, he worked as a director and teacher of mathematics at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of the city of Nur-Sultan. Under his leadership, the school became the only one of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools network that authorizes the internationally recognized program of the International Baccalaureate and was the first to receive a certificate of international accreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Earlier, in December 2016, Anuar Zhangozin was appointed deputy head of the Administration of Education of the city of Nur-Sultan. Since April 2017, he continued to work as the acting head of the capital’s Administration of Education. In August 2017, he was appointed as the head of The Administration of  Education of the city of Nur-Sultan.
